mg 42
MG 42 is a machine gun designed and used by Nazi Germany during the Second World War. Being capable of firing 1.200 to 1.500 rounds per minute, it had a devastating effect on the Allied troops. During World War II, it was a state of the art weapon, aside from its extremely high rate of fire, it was belt-fed and had the quick-change barrel system, which allowed for more prolonged firing, thus giving it even more firepower. The fact that it is still used by the German army as MG3, only goes in favor of its high quality and superior design. It used the standard German round of the time, 7.92x57mm, and was produced in more than 400.000 pieces.
