grease gun

The M3 submachine, nicknamed "the Grease gun" is an American .45-caliber submachine gun intended as a replacement to the Thompson submachine gun. Compared to the Thompson, the M3 was cheaper to produce, lighter, more accurate, and was also chambered in .45 ACP. As it was introduced late in the war, it saw relatively little combat use.
