John is good
The King of France from 1350-1364, succeeded his father Philip VI.; in the battle of Poitiers he was arrested and brought to the United Kingdom; four years later he was allowed to return to his son as a hostage; the hostage escaped; John chivalrously returned to London, and died in captivity (1319-1364).
