photoferroelectric imaging
The process of storing an image in a ferroelectric material by utilizing either the intrinsic or extrinsic photosensitivity in conjunction with the ferroelectric properties of the material. Specifically, photoferroelectric (PFE) imaging refers to storing photographic images or other optical information in transparent lead-lanthanum-zirconate-titanate (PLZT) ferroelectric ceramics.
