The recent discovery of neutrino oscillations, found in studies of atmospheric neutrinos, shows that neutrinos have a nonzero mass. The long-standing question of whether or not neutrinos have finite masses has finally been answered. Previously, there had been no firm evidence that neutrinos possess mass.
