Synthetic resin modified with oil. Common in the early automotive enamels in the ?0s, offered good adhesion to a clean surface, and good gloss, color retention, and flexibility, but tended to chalk out sooner and offer a shorter life that either the pervious lacquers, or the later acrylic enamels. Slow-drying.
