Lindiwe Mazibuko
In 2011, Lindiwe Mazibuko became the youngest black woman to be appointed as South Africa’s Democratic Alliance (DA) Parliamentary Leader. Mazibuko became interested in politics after doing her Political Communication BA Honours on Helen Zille and policies of DA. She was subsequently hired as a researcher for DA’s Parliament. In 2009, Mazibuko was elected to Parliament as the DA’s National Spokesperson and Shadow Deputy Minister for Communication. In 2012, she was honored with the title of South Africa’s Most Influential Woman.
