Alicia Christian Foster was born in Los Angeles on November 19, 1962. Among many others, starring in and getting nominated for an Oscar for "Taxi Driver" at 16 years old. She's been acting literally since she was three years old. Earned a B.A. in literature and graduated from Yale University (1985) She received an Academy Award nomination for her portrayal of a child prostitute in the 1976 film Taxi Driver. She has two sons named Charles and Christopher. During a speech at the 2013 Academy Awards, she came out as a lesbian. The following year, she married photographer Alexandra Hedison.
