Fishtail braids are a creative concoction of cornrows. Cornrows are braids fashioned along the wearers head. Styles create many patterns along the scalp. From afar, fishtail braids simply appear to be two large cornrows. However, taking a closer look reveals that each large braid is composed of many smaller cornrows. Done well, this style is very neat, and can include anything from curved to zigzag patterns along the scalp.
